28/04/2017 · Hello there, I am having trouble installing any Linux distro on my new Ryzen 1700 build and a lot of the internet talks about needing the 4.10 or 4.11 kernels. From what I have seen people have installed Ubuntu on one machine using legacy rather than UEFI, upgraded the kernel to a later version, and then physically moved the drive to the Ryzen based machine.
